48th Annual Fall Festival Art Exhibit Set   Clifton Forge, VA (Sept. 2, 2019) - Calling all artists 18 years and older! It’s time once again to ready those entries for the Annual Fall Festival Art Show. The 48th Annual Fall Festival Exhibit will open at noon on October 18 and runs through Friday November 15. The show includes these categories: Oil/Acrylic; Water media (watercolor, acrylic, gouache, casein); Drawing (ink, pencil, colored pencil, scratchboard); Sculpture; Graphics/Printmaking (artist made prints-NO reproductions, relief, monoprint, intaglio, linoleum, etching, collagraph, silkscreen); Fiber (original designs only-needle work, weaving, handmade paper); Mixed Media/Collage and Pastel. Entries will be due Saturday, October 12, 12-6 and Sunday, October 13 from 1-4 pm. There is a fee of $7.00 per entry, paid at the time of submission. Artists are limited to 3 works; all eligibility requirements are listed below. “It really helps check-in go more smoothly and quickly if folks will fill out the paperwork before they deliver,” says Curator Nancy Newhard. There are extra copies of the entry forms at the Center. AWARDS AND JUDGING Best-in-Show-$100; Virginia Fraser Memorial Award-$75; Category Awards: First Place-$50; Second Place-$25; Honorable Mention- $10; People’s Choice-$25. These prizes will be awarded at the discretion of the judge. People’s Choice Award, IS based on visitor votes and will be awarded after the exhibit closes.
