Clifton Forge, VA (Sept. 10, 2019) - Dabney S. Lancaster Community College Educational Foundation is once again hosting the Foundation’s biennial fundraiser, “Bubbles, Bands & Brunch—Tailgate Edition,” which will be held Sunday, September 15 at 12:30 p.m. in the Armory on the Clifton Forge campus. According to Educational Foundation Director, Rachael Thompson, this year’s event will take on the festive atmosphere of everyone’s favorite sporting activity – the tailgate party! Guests are invited to wear their favorite sports team apparel or colors.

Catering will be provided by Schaal’s Catering and Events of Fincastle and feature something for everyone – with a tailgate themed menu, including shrimp and grits, ribs, sliders, southern fried pecan encrusted chicken and waffles, brats, and more. In addition, local breweries and vineyards will be on hand to offer a sampling of brews, ciders, and wines, including Jack Mason’s Brewing, Bacova Beer Company, Halcyon Days Cidery, and Blue Ridge Vineyard. Tailgate games and performances by area high school bands, including Alleghany and Bath County high schools, will top off the day.

A silent auction of more than twenty items will also take place, featuring Garth Newel dinner and entertainment for two, a private chef experience, golf on the Greenbrier’s Old White Course, a private dining tutorial experience, guided fly fishing at The Omni Homestead, a stay at the Hillcrest Mansion Inn, including silver service breakfast for two and couples massages, home décor, and much more.
