Club Plans Meal-Packing Effort Nov. 21st   Covington, VA (Oct. 29, 2019) - The Covington-Hot Springs Rotary Club is pleased to once again host a Meal Packing Event on Thursday, November 21 at McAllister Memorial Presbyterian Church located at 900 N. Alleghany Avenue in Covington from 5:30-7:30pm. Dinner will be available for the volunteers, indicated club president Allan Tucker. “This year, we will be packing 15,000 meals to give to local food banks and churches in the Alleghany Highlands. We will need 50-60 volunteers to assist with this project. “This is a “high impact community service project” in partnership with a group called “The Outreach Program: Ending Hunger. Enriching Lives” The group’s mission is to provide safe water, food, medical care and education to children and those in need, both at home and abroad.
