Christmas Concert at First Presbyterian Church Monday Dec. 16   Covington, VA (Dec. 9, 2019) - Music on the Corner at First Presbyterian Church will present its traditional Christmas Concert at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 16. The program will feature a variety of seasonal music by soloists, instrumentalists, young singers, the Chancel Choir and the Hand Bell Choir. Soloists will be Anne Scruggs, soprano; Tammy Scruggs-Duncan, soprano; Kaitlyn Peters, clarinet; Barbara Hise, French horn and Sandra Minter, organ/piano. Two children’s groups will participate: the FPC Preschool Singers, under the direction of Janice Campbell and the Christmas Carolers, directed by Sandra Minter. The public is invited to the concert. While there is no admission charge, those attending are encouraged to bring non-perishable food or a monetary gift to benefit local food pantries the church supports. First Presbyterian Church is located on the corner of Maple Ave. and Locust St. in Covington. The accessible entrance is on Locust Street across from the Mid-City Mall parking lot.
