Edgemont Primary School Kindergarten Orientation Set March 3, 2020   Covington, VA (Feb. 13, 2020) - Edgemont Primary School Kindergarten Orientation for the 2020-2021 School year will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 from 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. at Edgemont Primary School, 574 West Indian Valley Rd, Covington. Students eligible to enter Kindergarten must be five years of age before September 30, 2020. Kindergarten is the first step in your child’s school experience. Kindergarten Orientation is an opportunity for children to visit the school. It is also a time for parents to receive information about Edgemont Primary School and the Kindergarten program. Kindergarten Orientation is designed to help parents enroll their children, including the completion of health forms, and to assist students in becoming acquainted with future friends and the school environment. Parents and students will meet the school principal, kindergarten teachers, be provided bus safety tips and ride a school bus. Students will also participate in various learning stations: gross motor, fine motor, reading, and math stations. Dinner will be provided. Kindergarten orientation is an excellent way to build an important partnership between home and school. (540-965-1420) PRE-KINDERGARTEN Edgemont Primary School Pre-Kindergarten Orientation for the 2020-2021 school year will be held, Tuesday, March 17, 2020 from 5:30 P.M. TO 7:00 P.M. at Edgemont Primary School, 574 West Indian Valley Rd, Covington. Students eligible to enter Pre-Kindergarten must be four years of age on or before September 30, 2020 and be a Covington City resident. During Pre-Kindergarten Orientation, parentsand students will meet the school principal, Pre-Kindergarten teachers, be provided bus safety tips and ride a school bus, and participate in learning stations. Parents and students will hear about the Pre-Kindergarten program and its requirements. Dinner will be provided.
