Alleghany County School Board Releases Personnel Actions   Low Moor, VA (Feb. 25, 2020) - At the conclusion of closed session at the Jackson River Technical Center on Monday, February 24, 2020 the School Board took the following personnel action: The School Board approved the appointment of Jeanne N. Harris as a Science teacher at Clifton Middle School effective March 2, 2020. Amanda R. Long, Courtney N. Glover, and Hannah N. Brantley were approved as substitute teachers. Tawnya L. Ross was approved as a cafeteria substitute. In extra-curricular appointments at Alleghany High School the School Board approved Tracy C. Shinault, varsity softball assistant coach, Aaron L. Dilley, boys soccer volunteer assistant, Lee Anne Bowling-Angle, track assistant coach, and Joseph E. Mayes, JV softball volunteer assistant coach. The Board accepted the resignation of Nicole K. Wyant: special education teacher at Clifton Middle School, Deidre R. Thomas, Science teacher at Alleghany High School, and Virginia W. Irvine, cafeteria worker at Sharon Elementary School, all effective June 30, 2020. The Board also accepted the resignation of Janet M. Anglin, part-time bus attendant effective March 1, 2020.
