Of Schools Notifies Public Of Sunday, March 29, 2020 Broadcast   Low Moor, VA (March 25, 2020) - This just in from Eugene Kotulka, Alleghany County Superintendent of Schools: "Good evening, this is Gene Kotulka, Superintendent of Alleghany County Public Schools. This School Messenger announcement is intended for students, parents and staff. Yesterday, Alleghany County Public Schools received guidance from the Virginia Department of Education regarding the closing of schools for the remainder of this school year and for the planning of the 2020 – 2021 school year. "Since then, our staff has been working hard on completing the plan to implement the Virginia Department of Education recommendations. "The plan will address seniors and graduation, the continuity of instruction for students to be promoted to the next grade level, end of year grades, students with special needs, students with 504 plans and more. "It is anticipated that our staff will complete the plan late Friday afternoon. With that being said, the staff will broadcast a live Facebook event, Sunday evening, March 29, 2020, at 6:00 pm. The Facebook broadcast will include the specifics of the plan, where the plan will be posted on our webpage and an opportunity for you to ask questions.
