|Town Of Clifton Forge Closing Offices|
Beginning 1 PM on Monday, March 30, 2020
Clifton Forge, VA (March 30, 2020) - Due to the rapid spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and recommendations from the Federal government and Centers for Disease Control (CDC), offices located in Clifton Forge Town Hall and Public Works will be closed to the public beginning at 1 PM on Monday, March 30, 2020 until further notice.
"At this time, staff will be on-site to answer phone calls and emails about operations of their department (payments, utilities, etc.). Department contact numbers are listed below:
Town Managerâ€™s Office 863-2500â€¨, Department of Public Works 863-2517, â€¨Finance Department 863-2505," a town news release indicated.
"We encourage you to continue to make payments by placing your payment in the payment box in front of Town Hall, by mailing to the Finance Department at P. O. 75, Clifton Forge, VA 24422, or by approaching the window to the right of the front entrance to Town Hall which is being set up for use on a temporary basis. â€¨
"We will be reassessing the situation on a continual basis and will provide additional information as appropriate."
