Clifton Forge, VA (May 14, 2020) - Here is a verbatim press release from the Alleghany Highlands Economic Development Corporation:
"Given these uncertain times, it is with regret that the Alleghany Highlands Economic Development Corporation’s (AHEDC) Board of Directors, announces the resignation of its Executive Director. The resignation will take effect in mid-June, to allow time for transition.
"For nearly five years, Mrs. Marla Akridge, has served as the Executive Director. The Board of Directors, wishes Mrs. Akridge all the best in her future endeavors. The next month will be spent having the Board of Directors develop a path forward for the Alleghany Highlands Economic Development Corporation.
"The goal of the Board of Directors, remains centered on ensuring that the region continues its efforts to spur economic opportunity through its work on attracting new businesses and industry in order to create more jobs for the Highlands." | | | | | |
