Let's Talk Alleghany
Free Webinars Seek To Reduce Stigma Of Mental Health Challenges, Help Suicide Prevention

 
Covington, VA (June 20, 2020) - The Alleghany Highlands Healthy Youth Coalition and Live Well Alleghany Highlands are partnering to host Let’s Talk Alleghany. This campaign will consist of virtual webinars offered June through September. There will also be “challenges” for the community to participate in to reduce the stigma of mental health challenges and increase awareness of suicide prevention.

The webinars will be hosted by Leading To Change. Leading To Change is a nationally awarded training agency. Eric Rowles, CEO, is an expert on youth culture, substance use prevention and workforce development. He is a nationally recognized trainer, speaker, and consultant who has worked with over 150,000 youth, adults, administrators, professionals, and policymakers within the past 15 years.

The Alleghany Highlands Healthy Youth Coalition and Live Well Alleghany Highlands recognizes the importance of spreading awareness about mental health challenges and suicide prevention, especially during COVID-19.
