Covington City Council Sets Called Meeting, Tuesday, August 4, 2020   Covington, VA (July 30, 2020) - There will be a Called Meeting of the Council for the City of Covington TUESDAY, AUGUST 4, 2020 AT 6:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers of City Hall located at 333 W. Locust Street, Covington, Virginia. The purpose of said meeting is as follows:       1.     To hold a Public Hearing to consider vacation of certain paper streets and alleys previously platted as part of the Edgemont Subdivision, now owned and operated by the City of Covington as the Jackson River Sports Complex 2.      To hold a Public Hearing to consider a proposed Omnibus Ordinance Amending and Reenacting Certain Sections of Chapter 6 , Animals, of the Code of the City of Covington 3.     To consider first reading of Ordinance O-20-02 an Omnibus Ordinance Amending and Reenacting Certain Sections of Chapter 6, Animals, of the Code of the City of Covington 4.     To do any and all things necessary and proper to accomplish the above.       Krystal Onaitis, City Manager
