Operation 'Unmasked' Conducted Here By Alleghany Highlands Drug Task Force Twenty-Two Subjects Indicted On 59 Charges   Covington, VA (August 7, 2020) - Alleghany County Sheriff Kevin Hall reported that on 7/23/2020 officers from around the Highlands began rounding up people that had been indicted by an Alleghany County Grand Jury. In operation “Unmasked” 22 people were indicted on 59 charges. As of 8/7/2020 all but two have been arrested. Officers from the Alleghany Highlands Drug Task Force were assisted by officers from the Craig County Sheriff’s Office, Rockbridge County Sheriff’s Office, Clifton Forge Police Department and the Covington Police Department. The two people still wanted are all from Covington.
