Paving Work On S. Alleghany Ave. Starts Mon, Sept. 28, 2020 No On-Street Parking Will Be Allowed From 6:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.   Covington, VA (Sept. 23, 2020) - South Alleghany Avenue will be under construction for re-paving beginning September 28, 2020. This work will include milling and paving both lanes of South Alleghany Avenue from South Monroe Avenue to East Main Street. NO ON STREET PARKING from 6:30 a.m. through 6:30 p.m. Delays should be expected between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm throughout the duration of the project. Alternative routes avoiding South Alleghany Avenue should be utilized during these hours for non-commercial vehicles.
