Alleghany Co. School Board Personnel Actions (2_15_21)   Low Moor, VA (Feb. 16, 2021) - At the conclusion of closed session on Monday, February 15, 2021 the School Board took the following personnel action:      The School Board approved the appointments of Karen C. Staunton as Principal at Alleghany High School. Rebekah E. Morgan was approved as a Teacher Assistant at Sharon Elementary School and Brenda J. Bell as a Bus Driver at Mountain View Elementary School. Board also approved three substitute teachers: Emilee F. Booze, Jessica J. Knighton, and John L. Meyering.      The School Board accepted the retirements of Brenda S. Bartocci, Central Office Administrative Assistant to Instruction; Susan N. Byer, Elementary Teacher at Mountain View Elementary School, Brenda H. Muterspaugh, School Secretary/Bookkeeper at Sharon Elementary School, all effective June 30, 2021. The Board also accepted the retirement of Crystal P. Vess, Teacher Assistant at Sharon Elementary School, effective February 1, 2021. The Board accepted the resignations of William K. Bess, Therapeutic Counselor, effective March 5, 2021 and Arthur M. Ailstock, Bus Driver, effective January 25, 2021. The Board also accepted the resignations of Sadie J. Dickson, English Teacher at Alleghany High School effective June 30, 2021 and Mark W. Hubbard, Mechanic, effective February 26, 2021.
