The Historic Masonic Theatre Movies At The Masonic Announced
Free Of Charge; Concessions Available

Clifton Forge, VA (March 26, 2021) - The Historic Masonic Theatre and the Town of Clifton Forge announce ā€œMovies at the Masonicā€ this summer beginning on June 6, 2021. All movies will be on Sundays in the months of June, July and August at 3:00 p.m., except for July 4th. All movies are free of charge and concessions will be available for purchase.

ā€œWe are very excited to be able to partner with the Historic Masonic Theater to offer a time of family relaxation and enjoyment to our neighbors and friendsā€, said Town Manager, Chuck Unroe. ā€œThe movies are free for anyone to attend and we invite everyone to join us. The appropriate safety guidelines will be strictly followed. Take a break, bring the family, come on down and remember what it was like to go to the afternoon matinee!! Iā€™ll see you there!ā€

The versatile line-up of summer movies at the Masonic includes: Black Panther, E.T., Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey, Paddington, Remember the Titans, Five Feet Apart, Race to Witch Mountain, The Karate Kid, A Bugā€™s Life, The Secret Life of Pets, Annie and Stand by Me. ā€œEscape the summer heat and bring the entire family to our ā€œMovies at the Masonicā€ this summer. Our Theatre has a long history of entertaining the community with exciting movies. We encourage everyone to make a day of it by picnicking on the Masonic Amphitheatre grounds,ā€ Executive Director Justin Reiter said.

Under the Theatreā€™s ā€œSafe Start Programā€, social distancing and wearing of masks when moving about the building will be enforced. Hand sanitizer stations will be available for public use throughout the building, and the use of public water fountains will be prohibited. Seats have been marked throughout the Theatre to maintain social distancing and ensuring no attendee has to cross another person when entering or exiting the seating row. Same households may sit together. The Theatre is sanitized before and after each event. ā€œWe are fortunate to have a top of the line industrial HVAC system that continually offers multiple changes of fresh, outside air each hour. The Historic Masonic Theatre is committed to your safety and comfort.ā€ Reiter said.

Mayor Pam Marshall says, ā€œIā€™m glad the Town can provide a level of support to the Theatre under the ā€˜Safe Start Programā€™ while offering entertainment to our COVID-19 weary residents, with their safety and comfort in mind. I hope people both near and far come out and enjoy these summer movies. Have some candy, popcorn, a drink, and sit back, smile, and enjoy.ā€

ā€œWe are so thankful to the Town of Clifton Forge for their support. We would not have been able to offer movies to our community without it.ā€ Reiter said.

ā€œIf you would like to advertise your business or upcoming events on the big screen prior to the start of movie, please contact our offices at 540 862-5655.ā€

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, seating for each movie will be limited to 140 guests.
