Covington, VA (April 2, 2021) - A work session of the Council for the City of Covington will be held on TUESDAY, APRIL 6, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall located at 333 W. Locust Street, Covington, Virginia.

To hold a closed session for the discussion or consideration of the acquisition of real property where discussion in open meeting would adversely affect the bargaining position or negotiating strategy of the public body and the investment of public funds where competition or bargaining is involved where, if made public initially, the financial interest of the city would be adversely affected pursuant to Sec. 2.2-3711(A)(3) & (6) of the Code of Virginia

2. To hold a closed session pursuant to the Virginia Freedom of Information Act Sec. 2.2-3711 (A)(8) of the Code of Virginia for consultation with legal counsel related to specific legal matters related to potential city liability concerning the Peters Mountain Landfill and Department of Environmental Quality

3. To hold a closed session pursuant to the Virginia Freedom of Information Act Sec. 2.2-3711 (A)(8) of the Code of Virginia for consultation with legal counsel related to specific legal matters related to potential city liability due to lack of proper amount of city staff
