Covington City Council, IDA To Hold Joint Session April 20, 2021   Covington, VA (April 15, 2021) - The Covington City Council and the Covington-Alleghany Industrial Development Authority will hold a joint meeting on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held in council chambers. Here is that agenda: 1. To hold a Joint Meeting with the Industrial Development Authority to transact the business statutorily required or necessary to accept a grant from the Alleghany Foundation relating to Project Sparkle; 2. To consider proposed Resolution R-21-19 accepting a grant from the Alleghany Foundation for 410 W. Main Street for economic development and workforce housing purposes; 3. To consider proposed Resolution R-21-20 in a Support Agreement between the City of Covington and the Industrial Development Authority for the Acquisition, Rehabilitation, and Marketing of 410 W. Main Street. 4. To do any and all things necessary and proper to accomplish the above.
