ONE (1) PUBLIC HEARING:

     â€˘     The purpose of the hearing will be for input and discussion on the possible sale of a portion of the downtown parking area known as the Keswick Street Parking Lot behind the Northwest Ace Hardware Store. This property is owned by the Town of Clifton Forge.

INVOCATION was by Rev. Mike Simmons of Oak Hill Bible Church, Clifton Forge.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE- Mayor Marshall shall lead the attendees and Council in the Pledge of Allegiance.

CALL TO ORDER – Mayor Marshall will call the meeting to order.

PROCLAMATION: Council to Proclaim September as Suicide Awareness Month.

     â€˘     Letter from Loving Life Fellowship to host their annual “Haloween” event on October 31, 2021 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and to block off all roads that lead to the parking lot below Milk Street to set up and have this event.

     â€˘     Review letters of interest for the Board of Zoning Appeals vacant seat.

     â€˘     Approve request from Alleghany Highlands Arts & Crafts Center for the first block of Commercial Avenue to be blocked to thru traffic (beside the hardware store) on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from noon to 2:00pm for American Craft Week entertainment.

Fall Series Movies at the Historic Masonic Theater on Sundays at 3:00pm. Movie titles and dates will be forthcoming.

Gem Trees with Lois McMullan will be on Saturday, September 18 from 1pm-4pm at the Alleghany Highlands Arts & Crafts Center. All materials will be provided and the cost is $30. Need to register by September 11, 2021. Call (540) 862-4447 for more information.

American Arts & Crafts Week, October 1- 10, 2021 There will be scheduled arts & crafts demonstrations, sidewalk buskers, tours of the historic masonic Theatre & Amphitheater and the C&O railway Heritage Center. There will be live entertainment on Saturday, October 2 from noon to 2:00pm on the Primus parking lot.

Whiskey Bottle Painting with Nancy Smith will be on Saturday, October 2 from 11am- 2pm at the Alleghany Highlands Arts & Crafts Center. All supplies will be provided and the cost is $25. Limited to 3-10 participants. Need to register by September 29, 202. Call (540) 862-4447 for more information.
