Letter To The Editor: Trash Cleanup Urged   Dear Editor, The Covington Woman’s Club and the Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce and Tourism appreciate everyone helping to keep the Alleghany Highlands litter free! We are pleased that the City of Covington and the Town of Clifton Forge have already set some cleanup days. We are requesting that everyone pick up at least one bag of trash this fall and also ask at least one other person to also pick up trash. Please do this by November 15. If you need large trash bags and gloves, you may pick them up at the Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce and Tourism. They also have trash pick up sticks that you may borrow. You can take a picture of your clean up work and send it to the Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce and Tourism at info@ahchamber.com to post on the Alleghany Proud Facebook page.
