INVOCATION will be by Rev. Dr. Ronald Baker, Main Street Baptist Church, Clifton Forge.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE- Mayor Marshall shall lead the attendees and Council in the Pledge of Allegiance.
CALL TO ORDER – Mayor Marshall will call the meeting to order.
FOUR (4) PUBLIC HEARINGS
• The purpose of the hearing will be for input and discussion on the possible request from Ronald & Kristen McConnell for a Conditional Use Permit to operate a Bed & Breakfast at 404 Alleghany Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia
• The purpose of the hearing will be for input and discussion on the proposed sale of the land area known as the Clifton Forge Business Park located on Hickory Avenue, Clifton Forge, Virginia. This property is owned by the Town of Clifton Forge.
• The purpose of the hearing will be to consider exempting the Masonic Theatre Preservation Foundation (non-profit entity) from real estate taxation, for which the assessed value of the real estate taxes assessed against all parcels for 2021 total $1,378.52 for the Town.
• The purpose of the hearing will be to consider a proposed appropriation to the Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Budget for the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding in the amount of $1,812,540.

• Consider the request from M. Ray Allen to officially designate the Town of Clifton Forge as Home of The Virginia Opry. Mr. Allen would also like to address Council and explain the history of the Virginia Opry.

Hulu’s mini-series screening of Dopesick that was filmed in Clifton Forge will be presented on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. Red Carpet Event: 6-7pm, Screening: 7pm at the Historic Masonic Theatre. Free and open to the public, but reservations required.
Shriners 50th Annual Fall Festival, Clifton Forge, Va. October 15 to October 17, 2021. There will be arts, crafts, food, entertainment and something for everyone.
The 50th Annual Fall Festival Exhibit. Free, in the Gallery from October 15-November 19, 2021. Monday -Saturday hours are 10am- 4:30pm. Sunday hours are 1pm- 4pm.
