Clifton Forge Downtown Market Features Crafts, Produce, and More Every Friday Night This Summer
| By Jennifer Bailey Staff Writer | Clifton Forge, VA (June 20, 2025)— Friday nights can drag on in the summertime, so if you're looking for a lively way to spend those evenings, then look no further than the Clifton Forge downtown Market. With lots to choose from shopping-wise, our local weekly market is a celebration of local craftsmanship, culinary prowess, and fine produce.
The Alleghany Journal made a special trip downtown this evening to see first-hand what types of vendors would be on hand with their creations and goodies. There were unique handmade crafts, farm-fresh fruits (including ears of corn going 2/$1), jellies, flowers, Clifton Forge memorabilia, handmade breads, and much more.
Whether you're a foodie, art lover, or an outdoorsman, the Clifton Forge Downtown Market is worth a visit. One can enjoy the ultimate shop local experience while soaking up the sun's rays.
The Market runs from 4 p.m.—7 p.m. each Friday evening, sharing some Fridays with "Fridays in the Forge." In fact, next Friday will be the first joint experience of "Fridays in the Forge" and the Downtown Market, with the latter running at its usual time and "Fridays in the Forge" running from 6 p.m.—9 p.m.
