Karly Brackenridge Turns Childhood Passion into Adult Commission

Clifton Forge, VA (Sept. 26, 2025)— Every artist's journey is like a beautiful quilt: a unique tapestry woven from early inspiration, commitment, and the pursuit to create something marvelous. We believe no truer words were spoken of our friend, Karly Brackenridge.

Brackenridge, by her own account, is a visionary artist who "has always been a creative person" since the tender age of five. Back then, while other children were likely experimenting with crayons on their mother's walls, Karly used her creative juices to explore finger painting or dive into artistic school projects.

Art is a passion which Brackenridge has carried with her for over 20 years and one, it seems, she simply can't live without. "I physically can't stop making something. If I find myself not doing something for like 48, 72 hours creatively, I feel a mood change."

In addition to doing freelance projects for ordering customers, Brackenridge has also completed a few murals. The young artist was gracious enough to share a few photos of her murals with the Journal during our short visit on Thursday afternoon.

To view or purchase her work, Karly's artwork is available at Mountain Field Market on 525 Main Street in Clifton Forge. Additionally, Brackenridge does what she can to attend as many farmer's markets as she can, as well as Kriskrindlmarkt when it rolls through the Clifton Forge School of the Arts each year.

If you wish to commission Karly for personal projects, she can be reached via email at karly.professional@gmail.com.
