Clifton Forge Community Gathering: Lots Of Action

Staff Writer | Clifton Forge, VA (Nov. 20, 2025) - This evening the Journal joined the Masonic Theater for the Annual Clifton Forge Community Gathering.
Laura Roberston Costigan, Key Club Advisor with the boys home, gave a slideshow presentation acknowledging the boys' dedication and hard work, then concluded with questions and answers. Girl Scout Troop 1281 began with the scouts honor and pledge, then each of the girl scouts, (Heidi Hale, Stella Miller, Shyanne Thornton, Miranda Thornton, Olivia Peter), gave a brief presentation. The Clifton Forge Scouting America Troop 2 was represented by Kenny Sprouse, Evan Hix, James Quantz (Eagle Scout), Ezra Smart, Landon Mullikin, Dominique Washington (Scoutmaster), and Skip McMallen (Assistant Scoutmaster). Scoutmaster Dominique Washington gave a brief presentation, then Bill Parks with Free Masons awarded James Quantz with a certificate of recognition.
