Worked With Homestead For 35 Years

Helen Margaret Thomas Keyser, 70, of Hot Springs, Virginia died Monday, December 23, 2019 at Bath Community Hospital.

She was born February 8, 1949 in Bath County, Virginia, the daughter of the late William Franklin Thomas and Margaret Elizabeth Lotts Thomas.

Helen was formerly employed for 35 years in housekeeping, public space, and the spa for the Omni Homestead Resort.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who enjoyed playing with her children and grandchildren and crocheting, as well as loving her flowers and wind chimes.

Helen is survived by her children, Tonya Marlene Keyser and fiance, Steven Grose of Hot Springs, Michelle Leigh Plecker of Williamsville, Paul Edward Keyser, Jr. and wife, Angie of Hot Springs, Charles William Keyser and wife, Elizabeth of Millboro, Curtis Lee Keyser and wife, Katie of Hot Springs; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother, Bobby Thomas of Hot Springs; and sister, Shelby Simmons of Clifton Forge.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Edward Keyser, Sr., who preceded her in 2001; and a brother, Billy Thomas.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 29, 2019 at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home with David George and Joyce Ryder officiating. Interment will be in Warm Springs Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home.
