Goldie Mae Miller, 83, of Fairfield, Virginia died Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born May 7, 1936 in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Moore and Hester Akers Moore.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Carl Miller; and brothers, Nathaniel Moore and Richard Moore.

Goldie attended Fairfield United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her children, Jesse Miller of Severn, Md., Mary Ellen Pace (Eddie) of Waldorf, Md., and Billy Miller of Fairfield; siblings, Myrtle Clark of Natural Bridge and Lorian Moore of Bryantown, Md.; three grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 30 at Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Punker Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, December 29 at Harrison Funeral Home.
