World War II Army Staff Sergeant Was White Sulphur Springs Resident

Frank Robert Cox, 96, of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia passed away Saturday, December 28, 2019 at his residence.

Born January 6, 1923 at Alta Vista, Virginia, he was a son of the late Thomas and Gracie Carr Cox.

Frank was of the Methodist faith, was retired from ABB, and was an Army Staff Sgt. during World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Mae Scott Cox in 2010.

He is survived by four sons, Thomas R. Cox of White Sulphur Springs, David Lee Cox of Howell, NJ, Mel Cox of Boca Raton, FL, and Charles Cox of Deerfield, FL; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a brother, George A. Cox of Lynch Station, Virginia.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Rev. Buck Caldwell officiating. Interment will be at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg

. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Saturday.

The Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
