Clifton Forge Native Worked With Tractor Supply In Covington

William Ellis (Bill) Burks, Jr., age 48, of 516 Rose Avenue, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Monday, December 23, 2019 at his residence.

He was born August 16, 1971 in Clifton Forge to the late William Ellis Burks, Sr. and Sandra Kay Ford Burks.

He was a merchandise stocker for Tractor Supply of Covington. He loved hunting, fishing. He was a fan of the Chicago Bears football team and a very proud Grandpa.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a number of aunts and uncles.

He is survived by a daughter, Dominique Dixon of Clifton Forge; a son, Kyle Burks of Covington; a step son, Cody Baker and wife, Kaitlyne of Covington; two sisters, Tammy Mace and husband, Ray of Covington and Loretta Carlson and husband, Matt of Tulsa, OK; the mother of his children, Tammy Baker Horn and husband, Tim of Covington; a granddaughter, Abby Dixon and a step grandson, Hunter Baker; and one niece, Stormy Walker and one nephew, Quintin Walker.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. There are no services at this time.

Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, is in charge of arrangements.
