Obituary for Mellissa Anne Bryant Mellissa Anne Bryant
Alleghany High School Graduate Was Former Douthat State Park Employee

Mellissa Anne Bryant, age 32, of 1019 North Alleghany Avenue, Covington, Virginia died Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at LewisGale Hospital – Alleghany, Low Moor.

She was born November 20, 1987 in Alleghany County, Virginia to Donald Wayne Bryant and Roxanna Goldberg Bryant.

She was a 2006 graduate of Alleghany County High School, and attended Dabney S. Lancaster Community College in the Forestry Program.

She worked for a number of years at Douthat State Park, and was a devoted mother.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Elizabeth Bryant; maternal grandmother, Jane Goldberg; and paternal grandparents, Daniel and Elizabeth Elsie Bryant.

In addition to her parents, Donald Wayne Bryant and Roxanna Bryant, both of Covington; she is survived by her life partner, Chad Harrison; her children, Melody Lynn Bryant of Covington and Jeremiah Adam Bryant of Divide, CO; a half-brother, Logan Bryant of Covington; a special grandfather, Norman Goldberg of Salem; and a number of special aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with Reverend Edith Snedegar officiating.

The family will visit with friends on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
