Kathleen Marie Shorts, 55, of Lexington, Virginia died Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at her home.

Born September 10, 1964 in Warren, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Barbara Jean Maloney Shorts Rector.

She was a dietary manager for a local nursing home and very much loved life and her family. She enjoyed the great outdoors and her quiet time by the creek.

Surviving are her children, Jessica Marie Wells of Lexington, Misty Dawn Fitzgerald of Richmond, and Tiffany Danielle Musselman of Charlottesville; a sister, Lori Shorts of West Virginia; a brother, David Shorts of Florida; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 11 at Harrison Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Gentry Hinijosa.
