Glasgow Resident Dies At Age 55

Jacqueline (Jackie) Ann Fitz departed this precious life at her home in Glasgow, Virginia on January 5, 2020.

Jackie was born on July 27, 1964 in Lexington. She was the daughter of the late Joan "Jo" E. Fitz Cabbell and the late Robert "Bobby" Rosser and her beloved step father, the late Franklin W. Cabbell.

Jackie was educated in the Rockbridge County School System, but continued her education at the Fishersville's Vocational School of Education, where she received her certification in food preparation.

She is preceded in death by her nephews, Robert E. Fitz Jr. and Jayden Christian Fitz.

Leaving to cherish her beautiful memory are two beautiful children, Tywanna J. Johnson, and husband, Ricky of Roanoke and Patrick Crear (Tabatha Peters) of Lexington; one grandson, Kiyan (Kiki) D. Crear, the joy of her life; two sisters, Rachel I. Jones and husband, Willie of Buena Vista, and Teresa Anderson of Lynchburg; three brothers, Robert "Scooter" E. Fitz and wife, Corliss of Glasgow, Franklin "Frankie" Cabbell of Lynchburg and Michael Cabbell of New York; five aunts, Loretta Perkins of Lynchburg, Constance "Connie" Robinson and husband, David of Glasgow, Joyce "Elaine" W. Carter and husband, Jesse of Glasgow and Mary Rosser and Betty Hamlett, both of Lynchburg; one uncle, Walter Cabbell of Lynchburg; five nephews, Dezmond, Charles, Jermale, Terrell and Ryan; a very special friend, Otha Rucker; and a host of great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends, and especially her family of friends at Wendy's.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Harrison Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Rachel I. Jones. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Glasgow. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory.
