Obituary for Judson Lewis Howard Judson Lewis Howard
U. S. Army Veteran Worked As Mechanic For Westvaco's Instrumentation Department

Mr. Judson Lewis Howard, age 79, of Covington, Virginia died February 1, 2020 at his residence.

He was the husband of Barbara Ray Howard.

Mr. Howard was born May 16, 1940 in Buckeye, WV, the son of the late Marion Chauncey Howard and Eula Rose Howard.

He served his country as a member of the United States Army for twenty-eight years.

Judson was employed as a mechanic in the Instrumentation Department of Westvaco before his retirement.

Mr. Howard was of the Protestant faith. He enjoyed woodworking and anything to do with guns.

In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Howard is survived by two sons, Bill Howard and Phillip Howard; an adopted daughter, Elizabeth Howard; a grandson, Ethan Howard; twin great granddaughters, Lanie Jane and Lillie Dawn Howard; four sisters, Cindy Pritchard, Sandy, Juanita Pearl McNiell and JoAn Sharp; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Howard was preceded in death by a brother, James Harrison and six sisters, Ilene Hanson, Gilda Gray Browning, Jennie Lynne Vires, Betty Lou Kane, Rebecca Lynn Bryant and Eula Jane.

A private memorial service will be conducted at a later date.

The family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of contributions to Boiling Spring Fire Department and Rescue Squad, 5407 Potts Creek Road, Covington, VA 24426.
