Hot Springs Resident Was Wendy's Lead Shift Supervisor, Hot Springs Baptist Church Member

Ruby Gail Hiner, 56, of Hot Springs, Virginia passed away Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Bath Community Hospital in Hot Springs.

She was born March 24, 1963 in Highland County, Virginia, the daughter of Charlotte Wolfe Lowry of Highland County, and the late Paul Brycen Lowry.

She was employed at Wendy's in Covington as a Lead Shift Supervisor.

Ruby enjoyed camping, fishing and the outdoors. She loved to go for rides in the truck to look for deer.

She was a member of the Hot Springs Baptist Church.

She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.

She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Jay Owen Hiner, Jr., to whom she was married on July 3, 1998; children, Stephanie and Jerome Griffin of Atlanta, Georgia, Brandon, Brycen and Braiden Hiner, all of Hot Springs, Judith Hiner of Millboro, Virginia; stepchildren, Chipper and Penny Hiner of Covington, Virginia, Melissa Auldrige of Hot Springs, Lee Jay Hiner of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Andrew, Elijah, Aaliyah, L. J., Charlotte, Caleb, Chance, Aydin, Sean, Gaberilla, Kim, David and Seth; great grandchildren; Ava May and Forest; a brother, Allen G. Lowry of Highland County, Virginia; sisters & brothers-in-law, Betty & F. D. Kelley of Millboro, Virginia, Brenda K. and Jason I. Hiner of Hot Springs, Pearly M. and Mark Snead of Waynesboro, Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 13, 2020 at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home with Pastor Donald Lee Altizer, Pastor Steve Shaver and Reverend Garland Humphries officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home to help with her funeral expenses.
