Fairlea Resident Dies At Age 86

Wanda Lee Young Fullen, 86, of Fairlea, WV passed away on February 11, 2020 at CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV after a short illness.

Wanda was born on October 26, 1933 in Pickaway, WV, the daughter of the late Basil Young and Louise Boone Young.

She was married to her late husband, Cecil Fullen on November 15, 1974.

Wanda graduated from Union High School in 1951. After graduation she moved to Ronceverte where she began her working life. She ran Honaker's Store in Organ Cave for ten years. She was employed at Appalachian Electronics for twelve years. She was co-owner of Fullens Trailer Park in Fairlea, where she was an integral part of the business until her passing.

Wanda was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and enjoyed hosting family gatherings in her home.

She was a devoted member of the A. R. Presbyterian Church in Fairlea, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, past president of the Women's Circle and sang in the choir. She enjoyed gardening and working outside.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Fullen; her grandchildren, Jamie Honaker and Melissa Betz; sister, Lois (Pat) Allen and the father of her four children, Sterling D. Honaker.

She is survived by four children, Patty Betz, Darrell W. Honaker, Donna Wykle and Doug Honaker (Linda), all of Fairlea, WV; seven grandchildren, Adam Wykle, Michelle Hall and husband, Ronnie of Glade Hill, VA, Elizabeth Honaker Smith and fiance, Jeff Vance of Frankford, WV, Joshua Wykle and wife, Tonya of Renick WV, Nikki Honaker of Clintonville, WV, Darrell M. Honaker of Dublin, Ohio and Sarah Honaker Dyess and husband, Danny of Roanoke, VA; eleven great-grandchildren, Jackson Honaker, Landon Dyess both of Roanoke, VA, Mason Williams of San Angelo, TX, Jerred Hall, McKinleigh Williams, Mason Hall, all of Glade Hill, VA, Lyla Smith of Frankford, WV and Chloey, Ella, Amrey, Joslyn Wykle, all of Renick, WV. Many nieces and nephews and special niece, Becky Powell.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the New Lebanon A.R.P. Church, Pickaway, WV with Pastor Ike Hughes and Pastor Bill Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the New Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2020 at the Morgan Funeral Home, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the John Jamethon Honaker Memorial ROTC Scholarship, Marshall University Foundation, INC., 519 John Marshall Dr. Huntington, WV 25703 or to the Fairlea ARP Church, 9364 Seneca Trail, Ronceverte, WV 24970.
