Marvin Lorenzo (Birdman) Farewell Sr., 62, of 402 S. Lexington Ave., Covington, Virginia died Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at his home.

Mr. Farewell was born May 20, 1957, the son of the Charles J. Farewell and the late Rhoda Little Farewell.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Deresa Armstrong, and a brother, Tony Farewell.

He worked as a self-employed general contractor and was a member of First Baptist Church on Lexington Avenue.

Surviving in addition to his father is his companion, Cecelia Moorman Hayhoe of Covington; a daughter, Mylinda Farewell of Covington; a son, Marvin L. Farewell Jr. of Manassas; five grandchildren: Javon Fadley, Jeremiah Fadley, Justin Fadley Jr. and Damoni Josiah Farewell, all of Manassas, and Trayvon Lorenzo Farewell of Front Royal; two sisters, Shelia Bailey of NC and Dikia Armstrong; three brothers, Ross Farewell, Karl Farewell of GA, and Ricky Hunt of FL.

In keeping with his wishes his body has been cremated.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are being handled by Arritt Funeral Home.
