Bernice Louise Wade Nye, 94, of Raphine, Virginia died Monday, February 24, 2020 at Blue Ridge Christian Home.

Born April 1, 1925 in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late Roy Brown Wade and Mary Virginia Bare Wade.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey George Nye, and a sister.

She was a member of the Bethesda McElwee Presbyterian Church and retired as a banker.

Surviving are her sisters, Ruth W. Beard and Mary W. Poole, and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2020 at McElwee Presbyterian Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
