James Carroll England, 82, of Rockbridge County, Virginia passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020.

Born December 18, 1937 in Baltimore, Md., he was the son of the late John E. England and Ruth H. England.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rebecca; his daughter, Margaret Briggs of Wilmington, Del., and her husband, Thomas; his granddaughter, Mary; his brother, Jack of Bishop, Calif., and several nieces and nephews.

Jim grew up in Washington, D.C., and was a graduate of American University.

Jim was employed as a feather merchant for the majority of his life, which took him on countless trips to Asia and throughout the world. Jim moved to Rockbridge County in 1990, after spending 20 years living in New Jersey.

A private burial service will be conducted at a later date.
