Obituary for Kenton Lee Nicely Kenton Lee Nicely
Manly Memorial Baptist Church Member Was Korean War Veteran

Kenton Lee Nicely, 87, of Lexington, Virginia died Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Havenwood.

He was born October 11, 1932 in North Buffalo, a son of Guy Chittum Nicely Sr. and Hattie Agnor Nicely.

In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Lee Rose Nicely, and an infant son, Kenton Lee Nicely Jr.

Kenton was a member of the Manly Memorial Baptist Church and served in the U. S. Army during the Korean conflict.

He retired from the Alcohol Beverage Control Board was a member of the K of P Lodge and the Lexington Moose Lodge.

Surviving are a step-daughter, Carole Rose Barton; and brothers, Paul W. Nicely Sr. and Ovie Nicely.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 3 at Harrison Funeral Chapel by Dr. Michael Wilkins. Burial will follow at Oxford Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.

Arrangements are by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory.
