Former Owner Of Red's TV And Dairy Queen In Covington Dies At Age 90

Mr. Walter Glenn (Red) Reynolds, Jr., age 90, of Covington, Virginia died Monday, March 2, 2020 at Alleghany Heath and Rehab, Clifton Forge.

He was the husband of the late Mary Bowyer Reynolds.

Mr. Reynolds was born May 20, 1929 in Covington, the son of the late Walter Glenn Reynolds, Sr. and Emma Looney Reynolds.

Along with his late wife, Mary, he was the owner and operator of Red's TV and Appliances which they opened in 1957. The couple also owned and operated the Dairy Queen of Covington.

Mr. Reynolds is survived by his sons, Alan Glenn "Buster" Reynolds and wife, Beverly of Roanoke and Walter Lee Reynolds and wife, Denise of Covington; three grandchildren, Seth Reynolds and wife, Heather, Christopher Reynolds and Travis Reynolds; and one sister, Joyce Armentrout.

In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Reynolds was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

A private graveside service will be conducted.
