James Malcolm Sams, 85, of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia passed away Monday, March 9, 2020 at his residence following an extended illness.

Jim was born May 1, 1934 in White Sulphur Springs, the son of the late Pearl Sams.

He was a Head Master Caddie at the Greenbrier Hotel and various resort golf courses in Florida.

Preceding him in death other than his parents was his wife, Arbutus "Bootie" Donahue Sams (June 17, 2019); sister, Waline Burdette and a brother, Jesse Sams.

Surviving are his daughters, Debbie Gaughran of White Sulphur Springs and Pam Isaacs (David Allison) of Cocoa, FL; grandchildren, Matt Gaughran and his wife, Mallorie and Danielle Isaacs; great grandchildren, Luke and Lily Gaughran; and several nieces and nephews.

It was Jim's wishes to be cremated, with no services planned at this time.
