Obituary for Sterling Brice Coffman Sterling Brice Coffman
Ronceverte Resident Was World War II Army Corps Veteran

Sterling Brice Coffman, 98, of Ronceverte, West Virginia passed away Monday, March 9, 2020 at Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg.

Born August 6, 1921 at Ronceverte, he was a son of the late Tilden and Mary Florence Perkins Coffman.

Sterling was a country gentleman and member of McLean Presbyterian Church.

He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and was a loving, caring husband and a strong and gentle father.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances McGrady Coffman on February 26, 2005 and several siblings.

He is survived by daughters, Clara Lee Coffman Worley and husband, Wes of Covington, Va. and Mary Elizabeth Coffman Baker and husband, Nathan of Nashville, TN; and his canine companion, Shadow.

Special thanks goes to Hospice Care of Lewisburg and Dr. Charles McClung.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2020 at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte, with Pastor Carl Pattison officiating. Military honors were conducted at Salem Presbyterian Church Cemetery at Organ Cave by the VFW.

The family received friends from 12:00 p.m. until time of the service at the funeral home on Friday.
