Obituary for Susan Ogden Slough Susan Ogden Slough
Buena Vista Resident Dies At Age 72

Susan Ogden Slough, 72, of Buena Vista, Virginia peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior after a long courageous battle with Alzheimers disease on March 16, 2020.

Susan shared her father's birthday of Dec. 9, born in the year of 1947 to the late Charles William Ogden and Zelia Kerr Ogden.

Susan was a life member of the Buena Vista Rescue Squad, actively serving 15 years during which time she held many offices.

She retired from Mundet-Hermetite as quality control manager after 32 years of service. Susan was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. Her love will be missed immensely.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 36 years, Ronald L. Slough; her children, Sherry B. Cash (Dean), Amy S. Coada (Mike) and Chad Slough (Janna); her grandchildren, Whitney Williams, Vanessa Cole (Dallas), Joshua Cash, Brittany Moore and Kyleigh Arehart (Brandon); one brother, Phillip Ogden (Sherrill); three sisters, Wanda Bane, Bernice Stinnett, and Lois Alford; many nieces and nephews. Our precious memories will be passed on to her 12 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at the Ben Salem Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 22 with the Rev. Bryon LePere and the Rev. Dean Staton officiating. Fellowship and dinner will take place directly after the service at the Ben Salem Community Building.

The family would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to each and every caregiver. Special thanks to Amber Camden, Katie and Mark Smith and family, all staff of Havenwood Assisted Living and the staff of the Lexington Area Hospice.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
