Ernest Eugene Potter Sr. (aka Pops) 78, of Stuarts Draft, Virginia passed away Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Augusta Medical.

Born March 14, 1942 in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late John Henry Potter and Dorothy Irene Painter.

Surviving are his children, Raymond Oscar Patterson (Jen), Terry Lynn Patterson, David Eugene Patterson (Sharon), Melissa Patterson, Ernest Eugene Potter Jr. and Peggy Sue Herring (Lee), and Tamara Keye; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Rebecca Virginia Sorrells (Butch), Nancy Irene Coffey, and Kathy Joan Fix (Jerry); and brother, Robert Lee Potter (Sandy).

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 19 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Herring Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 18 at Bolling, Grose and Lotts Funeral Home.
