Robert Walter (Bob) Dunlap, 62, of Lexington, Virginia died Thursday, March 19, 2020 at his mountain home.

Born July 8, 1957 in Norfolk, he was the son of the late Walter McCown Dunlap and Carolyn Bailey Dunlap.

Mr. Dunlap was a member of the New Monmouth Presbyterian Church and was employed by Washington and Lee University for over 33 years.

He was an avid reader and student of history. Never lacking a story, he was proud to share about his family's heritage in Rockbridge. Bob loved to hunt and watch sports, especially UVA basketball and Minnesota Vikings football.

Surviving are his wife, Vivian Davis Dunlap; daughter, Margaret "Megan" Davis Dunlap; and sister, Karen Dunlap Price.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
