Ralph Eugene Mikels, 81, of Buena Vista, Virginia passed away Monday, March 23, 2020.

Born March 18, 1939 in Rockbridge County, he was the son of the late Rev. Arthur M. Mikels and Thelma Marie Campbell Mikels.

He was also preceded in death by siblings, Kathleen Lineberry, Dale Mikels, Vernon Mikels, Conard Mikels, Roy Mikels, and an infant sister.

Ralph attended Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church and was retired from Hermetite after 46 years.

He served in the U. S. Navy from 1958 to 1962 on the USS Saratoga.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Myrtle Garrett Mikels; children, Stephanie Blevins and Ralph Andrew Mikels; six grandchildren, Michael Caleb Blevins, Joshua Ethan Blevins, Abraham Haddon Mikels, Anna Grace Mikels, Benjamin Carey Mikels and Lydia Carine Mikels; and one great grandchild, Jonathan Calvin Blevins; sisters, Avis Widdifield and Shirley Simpson; and brothers, Lloyd Mikels, Clayton Mikels, Steve Mikels and Roger Mikels.

A private graveside service will be held at Green Hill Cemetery.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
