Hot Springs Homemaker Was Virginia Chapel United Methodist Church Member

Nancy (Cookie) Carol Woodzell Meadows, 78, of Hot Springs, Virginia passed away Monday, March 23, 2020 at her residence.

She was born March 25, 1941 in Hot Springs, Virginia, the daughter of the late James Robert Woodzell, Sr. and Virginia May Green Woodzell.

Mrs. Meadows was a homemaker and was a member of Virginia Chapel United Methodist Church.

She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She enjoyed camping and going to blue grass festivals. Cookie loved to spend time with her family telling stories and enjoying food together.

She was married to the late Dewey Dallas "Luke" Meadows, who preceded her in death on June 3, 2005.

She is survived by five children, Dallas "Buggy" Meadows and wife, Sandra of Eagle Rock, Virginia, Leeann Ailstock and husband, Albert of Warm Springs, Virginia, Michael Allen Meadows and fiance, Georgia Tennant of Hot Springs, Tina Marie Miller and husband, Brett, also of Hot Springs and David L. Meadows and wife, Kendra of Wolf Creek, West Virginia; six grandchildren, Brett Lee Moyers, Jared Wayne Meadows, Maxwell Logan Fisher, Mason Harold Fisher, Allen Michael Meadows, Tyler Lynn Bradley; and eight great grandchildren; a brother, Kenny Woodzell and wife, Tess of Hot Springs, Virginia; a sister, Ellen "Bootsie" Hodge of Hot Springs; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mary Ashley Meadows; five brothers and sisters, Donald "Buck" Woodzell, Jack Woodzell. Shirley Woodzell Stinnett, Jamee Jr. "Dink" Woodzell, Sandra "Grey" Woodzell Hanson.

A private celebration of her life will be held.

The McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home, Hot Springs, Virginia, is handling the arrangements.
