Obituary for Lantie M. Cole, Sr. Lantie M. Cole, Sr.
Retired Former Heavy Equipment Operator Also Was Bartender At The Greenbrier Hotel

Lantie M. Cole, Sr., age 85, of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at White Sulphur Springs Center of complications from dementia.

Lantie was born September 11, 1934 at Alvon, WV, a son of the late Melvin Arthur and Lilly May Fifer Cole.

He was a heavy equipment operator for Vecellio & Grogan Contracting Company and later was a bartender at the Greenbrier Hotel.

He attended White Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Della Merel, Shirley Temple and Janie Cole Morgan; and brothers, Cloris Elmo Cole, Junior Echols Cole, Milford Garland Cole, Willie Clinton Cole, and Donnie Cole as well as two infant brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita Cole; two daughters, Kathy L. Glover of White Sulphur Springs and Lana S. Massa of Washington State; two sons, Lantie M. Cole, Jr. (Sonja) and Robert N. Cole (Karon), both of White Sulphur Springs; a step-daughter, Kassie Stone of Arizona; grandchildren, Katherine Shelton (Ben), Nina Blankenship (Josh), Rebecca Allen (Patrick Guills), Megan McCoy, Courtney Hudnall (Zack), and Lantie Michell Cole, Jessica Bolen (Clayton), Matthew Cole (Brooke), Cassidy Wickline (Parrish), and Kellea Whitt (Ryan); great-grandchildren, Brittany Jarrett (Zack), Laurel Ellise Blankenship, Haven Allen, Rhylynn Guills and Oliver Guills, Ella McCoy, Cole McCoy, Finlee Hudnall, Raegan Hudnall, Cheyenne Bolen, Gatlin Bolen, Ben Bolen, Ellie Cole, Lillian Cole, Nathaneal Wickline, Malachi Wickline, Jedediah Wickline and Bryson Whitt; and one great-great grandson on the way. Also surviving are two sisters, Evelyn Marie and Starlena Fay Coleman; and two brothers, Melvin Theodore Cole and Stacy Clifford Cole.

A celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date when the Corona virus has departed.
