Marie Harrison Floyd passed away Friday, April 10, 2020 in Lexington, Virginia at the age of 88.

Marie was born February 28, 1932 in Buena Vista, Virginia to her parents Robert and Hazel Harrison.

She worked for years in the family business at Floyd's General Store. She retired as computer systems coordinator at the Hanes/Sara Lee plant in Forest City, N.C.

Marie is survived by her two children and their spouses, C. E. (Flash) Floyd III (Ruth) of Lexington and Jeannie Fitzgerald (Wayne) of Buena Vista. She is also survived by three grandchildren and their spouses, Brandon Fitzgerald (Ashley), Jordan Rice (Johnathan) and Jamie Floyd (Jill); and two great-grandchildren, Maddox Rice and Benjamin Floyd.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude E. Floyd Jr. (Flash); and her siblings, R. C. Harrison, Phyllis Balser, Dorothy Wilson and Hylton Harrison.

Due to the current health restrictions, a private burial will be held.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Buena Vista Baptist Church or Rockbridge Area Hospice.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
