Obituary for Vaughn Darryl Douglas Vaughn Darryl Douglas
Truck Driver Was Army National Guard Veteran

Vaughn Darryl Douglas, 59, of 129 Hallies Road, Covington, Virginia died Friday, April 17, 2020 at his home.

Mr. Douglas was born June 9, 1960, in Baltimore, MD, a son of the late Norman Lionel and Grace Bush Douglas.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Barry Douglas.

He was employed as a truck driver for F. L. Moore & Sons, Inc. of Concord.

He served in the Army National Guard and was a former member of the Covington Fire Department, Falling Spring Fire Department and Hot Springs Fire Department.

Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Pamela Brown Douglas of Covington; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Shannon Simmons and Michael and Megan Douglas, all of Covington; one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Scott Bradley of Covington; two brothers, Wayne Douglas and his wife, Martha, and Shawn Douglas, all of Covington; four grandchildren, Shawna Clarke, Logan and Kayla Sartain and Isabella Sartain, all of Covington and Kelsey Sartain of Lynchburg; three great grandchildren, Abram Clarke, Lane Sartain and Maren Sartain, all of Covington; a number of nieces and nephews and several special friends, including David and Brenda Andrews and Bill and Linda Sartain, all of Covington and Craig and Lynn Holgate of Manassas; also the F.L. Moor family.

In keeping with the guidelines of the current pandemic crisis, a private graveside will be held Monday, April 20, 2020 in Alleghany Memorial Park with Pastor Pamela Irvine officiating.

The family suggests that donations in Vaughn's name be made to Mountain Regional Hospice, P. O. Box 637, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
