Julian Mark Buzzard, 79, of Hot Springs, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born July 14, 1940 in Mountain Grove, Virginia, the son of the late Lawrence Andrew Buzzard and Hallie Marie Clark Buzzard.

Mr. Buzzard retired from MeadWestVaco after 40 years of service.

He was a member of the Hot Springs Baptist Church and the National Rifle Association. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.

Mr. Buzzard enjoyed working on genealogy, loved music, and worked each year on putting the new hunting regulations and changes in the local papers. He was a great storyteller. Everyone called him "friend", as he never met a stranger.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Letia Pearl Hiner Buzzard, whom he married on on June 10, 1961; three children, Caroline Ahmed and husband, Osama Badr, Timothy Buzzard and fiance, Beth, and Thomas Buzzard, all of Hot Springs; three grandchildren, Tonya Keesee, Seth Dressler, Chelsea; seven great grandchildren, Haven, Hadley, Henley, MaKenzie, Kylie, Joceyln, Conley; a brother, Ronnie Buzzard and wife, Karen of Mountain Grove; a special niece, Millie Williams; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Jean Stutler and a brother, Monte Buzzard.

Due to the current health situation, a private family graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Mountain Grove Cemetery with Reverend Richard Boyer officiating.
