Mary Ann Johnson was born in Natural Bridge Station, Virginia on June 29, 1936.

She entered heaven's gates on April 20, 2020.

Mary Ann had an unwavering faith in God and was a dedicated member of Faith Baptist Church. She enjoyed sports, was an avid fan of UVA, and demonstrated her love and friendship through her crochet gifts and home-cooked meals.

Mary Ann is preceded by her parents, Clemmie and Curtis Branch and brothers, Thomas Branch, Jerry Branch and Willard Branch.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, David Lee Johnson; daughters, Gwen Davis and Joyce Lackey; grandchildren, Morgan Carraway, Nathan Lackey and Micah Lackey; sister, Christine Rowe; and brothers, Ivan Branch and John Branch and sister-in-law, Kathy Branch.

An anticipated memorial service will be held at a future date. Proverbs 31:10.
